The AI Content Revolution

How Language Models Work

Large language models are trained on enormous datasets of text. They learn statistical patterns and use those patterns to generate text that sounds fluent and coherent. They do not "know" things the way humans do; they predict what text should come next.

Hallucination:When an AI generates information that sounds plausible and confident but is factually incorrect or entirely fabricated. AI can hallucinate fake citations, nonexistent people, false statistics, and events that never happened.

AI Sounds Confident Even When Wrong

AI sounds equally confident whether it is accurate or completely fabricated. Confidence is not a signal of accuracy.

Deepfake:A synthetic video or audio recording that uses AI to replace a person's likeness or voice, making it appear that someone said or did something they did not.

The Liar's Dividend

Deepfakes create a dangerous secondary effect: even authentic video can now be dismissed as "probably a deepfake." This undermines trust in all video evidence, not just synthetic video.
